Race Day Rules

  • Don’t be a jerk! Seriously, just don’t…seriously
  • Helmets are mandatory for all racers!
  • Races will be mass start. Race director has option to modify start(s) for safety. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Lemans start, very long prologue, wave starts, etc…
  • Racers may exit and enter the race course at designated places only. You must re-enter from where you exited. Cutting of the course will result in a DQ. Don’t be that guy or girl or junior
  • Teams may only switch riders in the transition area. If YOU start a lap, YOU must complete the lap
  • Racers may only accept mechanical support from non-racers in the pit/transition area or other area off of the race course. If on course, all repairs must be made by the racer, or other racers, on course. Duo team-mates may not provide assistance unless off the race course
  • If someone needs to pass, let them pass! If you need to pass someone, ask them to pull over when they get a chance.
    • No one needs to “earn” the pass. If you get caught, they earned it.
    • These are long races; waiting for a safe place to pass will not cost you the win.
    • When in doubt, let someone by. If you catch them again, they will let you by.
  • Registration will open sometime around 7:30 AM. There will be a racer meeting at around 8:45 AM
  • Races will run from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. The races are true “6 hour” races, meaning they are over at 3:00 PM, not 4:00 PM. If you can finish your last lap close to 3:00 you can go back out, but if you are going to be out well past 3:00 the officials will inform you that you are done. Please be respectful of this rule, it is to ensure we get podiums done, course torn down, and everyone home at a reasonable hour
  • Don’t curse at anyone, especially volunteers and the kids…see rule 1
  • Leave no trace. Go ahead and put the empty gu packet in your jersey pocket
  • Be nice to the volunteers and officials. We all work very hard and don’t get paid. No one is trying to mess with you or your race. Promise!
  • All decisions made by the race director are final. Protests must be made within 15 minutes of results being posted
